Session bookings have now closed for the current batch of treatments subsidised by the CCBRF.

After a period of evaluation we will assess the needs for future rollouts, stay tuned.

In the mean time, heartfelt thanks to all the practitioners and clients who came to work together to build a stronger community and to the CCBRF for supporting the programme.

CWG HOLISTIC HEALING SESSIONS

The Cobargo Wellness Group (CWG) are working in partnership with the Cobargo Community Bushfire Recovery Fund (CCBRF) to provide a range of natural therapy sessions to our community.

The CCBRF will generously subsidise each session by 50% for a period of 3 months.

The aims of this project are :

  • To provide the community of Cobargo and the surrounding districts with mental, emotional and physical support in the aftermath of the bushfires. This will be achieved by providing holistic therapies and interaction with qualified practitioners to aid the community in their recovery
  • To be a proactive agent and advocate for positive change in a constantly changing environment.
  • To foster resilience and emotional self reliance for the community of Cobargo and surrounding districts

The sessions will be an hour long at the CWG practitioner rooms located at 16 Blackbutt Drive, Cobargo.

This funding partnership allows anyone in our community to access a range of treatments for only $40 an hour and the CCBRF will fund the additional $40.

Payment by the client, is to be made to the practitioner at the time of the session. There are no EFTPOS facilities on site.

Should you wish to make an additional contribution to CWG so that we can continue to support our community with groovy projects, or if you wish to pay it forward for someone else, please let your practitioner know of your intentions.

Please park behind the horse float, without blocking anyone in, then follow the signs along the path to the side rooms.

Read the following practitioner information and hit the Book Now button to book yourself a session.

TUESDAYS

MEL PICKERING | EFT or REIKI

PRACTITIONER BIO

I have been supporting people with Reiki, and more recently EFT (Tapping), since I was attuned as a Reiki Master in 2004. I have worked independently and as part of a team in healing centres and with a range of natural therapists in a live-in health and wellness centre in Victoria.

What is EFT? Many people may have heard of EFT referred to as Tapping, a name that has been popularised in recent years, as the modality has become more widely known. EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique.

Tapping is similar to acupuncture, in that it works on certain points on the body to release the energy that is “stuck” there. Unlike acupuncture, needles are not used, instead you tap on points on your upper body with your fingers, whilst saying certain phrases that help release the stuck feelings. It is a practice that is lead by the client and the session goes where you allow it to go, with prompting from the practitioner. EFT sounds weird, but it works, and it is scientifically proven to do so.

Check out this link for a quick overview of tapping from the Tapping Solution

My experience of the NYE fires made me realise that now is the time to step forward and offer ongoing EFT and Reiki support to the fire affected community of Cobargo and the surrounding districts. I specialise in reducing anxiety, overwhelm and stress and if you want to read about how EFT supported me to reduce a truckload of anxiety to be able to stay and defend our home in Yowrie from the fire, then check out my website (address below).

FRIDAYS

SALLY DRAAYERS | BOWEN THERAPY AND REIKI

PRACTITIONER BIO

I am a Bowen therapist and a reiki healer. I am so proud to be part of the CWG and I really want to help make a difference to those who may be struggling with what the last year has brought us. I am passionate about alternative forms of health and I know what a huge difference they can make to people’s wellbeing. I was drawn to bowen therapy, not only because of the potential physical improvements the technique can achieve but also on mental health and overall sense of wellbeing, that bowen therapy can bring.

A Bowen therapy treatment will provide an overall sense of deep relaxation. It is gentle, non invasive, no oils are used and can be done through light clothing. Both bowen and reiki can help to start shift physical or emotional blocks that might be holding you back. If you are struggling with physical aches and pains in particular then I would focus on Bowen with the client. The addition of reiki steps up the level of relaxation and can help to start shift unhelpful energy. Each clients individual needs will determine the treatment.

SATURDAYS

ANNY WILDE | KINESIOLOGY

PRACTITIONER BIO

I’m a Kinesiologist and Intuitive Healer and have been working in this field for 10 years. My work has evolved over the years to my own special blend of kinesiology, intuitive energy healing and shamanic practices.

Most people come and see me when things aren’t feeling right, they might be experiencing prolonged anxiety that won’t shift, feeling stuck, they keep repeating the same unhealthy pattern, not sleeping well, ruminating on an issue, feeling exhausted, aches and pains, allergies start flaring up etc. When we don’t tend to ourselves properly, then our body and our mind can really start to suffer and symptoms really start to come out.

Kinesiology allows us to communicate with the body and our deeper soul selves and pinpoint the places within that are needing our attention, from here we can go about restoring the balance. With kinesiology tools, vibrational medicine and my intuitive healing practices, I am able to connect in to what is of most importance and is priority for that particular time. My aim is always to be able to help provide clarity, connect you deeply to yourself, balance the energy, so the healing can begin.
